Our Core Values
The standard for all relationships is the "Eleventh Commandment" given by Jesus in John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one
another. By this Shall all (men) know that ye are my disciples, if ye love one another "
As our primary goal is "Growing disciples for Christ," we encourage individual Bible study and prayer,
and active participation in a mid week small group Bible study program.
Our goal is to follow the commission in Matt. 28:19-20.......
28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
We encourage our members to study the Scriptures and check every sermon,
or teaching with the Scriptures as in 2 Peter 3:16-18.......
3:16 As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things;
in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest,
as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also,
being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
3:18 But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen."
And also Acts 17:11.......
17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word
with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
Music will be performed to praise God, not to draw attention to the performer.
Generally a response of Amen is preferred over clapping.
We are one body in Christ, each important but unique, likewise we will flexible and varying
formats in the worship service and other programs, with the common purpose of reverent worship of God.
Everybody has a part to play on this church team.We will have lay leadership
whenever possible as opposed to the "let's just the pastor do everything"school of thought
The pastor is primarily an advisor or facilitator.
The purpose of leadership is to model, inspire, and equip.
